blue ridge mountains
The Blue Ridge is located in the Northeastern part of Georgia. Brasstown Bald, the highest peak in Georgia, is located here. Out of the five geographic regions, the Blue Ridge has the most rainfall.
ridge and valley
The Ridge and Valley is made up of forest and pastures, but have flat and fertile farmland. It is between the Blue Ridge and the Appalachian Plateau. Mining, farming, and carpet manufacturing are important industries.
appalachian plateau
The Appalachian Plateau is the smallest region in Georgia. It is located in the Northwest part of Georgia. It's Georgia's only source of fossil fuel.
piedmont
The Georgia Piedmont is between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Upper Coastal Plain. It's in the southeastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States.
coastal plain
The Coastal Plain takes up 3/5 part of the state. Georgia's peanut, cotton, and vegetable farms are located here. It is the largest of Georgia's regions in terms of land.
